Britain 1, USA 0

Now I have to admit that I’ve been as sceptical as anyone else about the chances of the American Bar Association allowing a Brit Blog to beat the lot of them at their own game. But hey, it’s time to eat my own words since they’ve had a recount after taking away the "irregular" votes and guess what? This blog won. Over twice as many votes as any in the "Quirky" category and a healthy lead over every other blog in all the categories. Officially the best legal blog in the world out of 2,000 that started out (!) As I’ve said before, after this result maybe the ABA will nominate a few more Brit blogs next time around. The full results can be found here and a brief account of the voting shenanigans can be found here.

Way to go BabyB, hanging chads all over again… If only Gore had you on his side…

Congratulations…you would have thought, however, that with Web 2.0 the multiple voting would have been picked out earlier!
Good stuff….. There was quite an amusing discussion of this on Twitter last night… you should try Twitter…

I take full credit for your win BabyB. :-)) lol My goading of the American system of voting and winning no matter what seems to have hit a nerve. Well done great blog maybe now you will post a little more frequently!?

Hm… judging by the final count I gather they also stripped away my extra votes for you. But sneakily I’m rather glad you didn’t need irregular help to come in first. Good on you.

How nice to have one’s faith in a system justified, even if it leaves you with your mouth open. Well done and keep up the good work.

I guess with that kind of success the charges for the Moldy Litigation will increase, Clare will swoon at your feet, TopFlirt will pay you more attention and TopThird will be even more determined to take you down a peg or two…
Christmas – Bah Humbug… lets get back to the adventures.. I wonder if the D-Day influx of marital trauma will bring any surprising news… 🙂

Congratulations BabyB – a bigger honour, I’m sure, than the QCship you’ll eventually scheme your way to. All the best for 2009.

Congratulations. Best legal blog, as decided by the readers of legal blogs. Are you now a barrister who writes, or a writer who barrists?
